Almost, but not quite a guide to accessibility requirements

European Accessibility Act overview

The European Accessibility Act aims to improve the accessibility of products and services. This brought accessibility requirements also to the private sector.

European Union member states were required to ensure that the products and services were compliant with the Directive by June 28, 2025.

Each member state has to have its own legislation that implements the European Accessibility Act. In Finland, we have the Act on the provision of digital services (digital services act) that also implements the Web Accessibility Directive.
